Even though affiliate marketers and the big guys have equal access to potential customers on the Internet there is still an area where the big boys have what appears to be the advantage of much larger advertising budgets. They have millions and affiliate marketers have hundreds.

But the playing field is still level. Why? Affiliate marketers have the advantage of being able to get up-close and personal with customers. The fact is; people buy from merchants that they trust and especially from merchants that will actually LISTEN to what their customers say.

Winning Strategy #3: Give Your Customers a Voice!

Everybody wants to have their say. Everybody wants their own experience and opinions to matter. It’s human nature.

Big, expensive, and slick advertising campaigns are one-way conversations that are easily ignored by potential customers.

But if those potential customers get involved and participate in a two way conversation — when they have a voice — they don’t ignore the advertising message.

Some ideas of how to give your potential customers a voice are:

• Add a widget to your blog that allows readers to enter their personal self-improvement (progress weight loss/fitness improvement/etc.)

• Start a discussion forum on your site about product reviews.

• Let visitors to your site create their own profile page where you and other members can post messages of support

• Add a Twitter list to your site that collects helpful, inspiring or encouraging tips.
